Elizabeth Kamosa
The sea spoke in a distant voice.
It was muffled but still clear.
It whispered like a melody
and roared softly in my ear.
It told tales of creatures in its depths
And unraveled their routines.
It spoke of how they came to be
And contents of their dreams.
It reminisced over ancient times
When no vessels were alive.
The only things to ride its waves
Were the whales among the tide.
It told me that each night
It lulls the sky to sleep
And how this message drifts
To the creatures in the deep.
