Way up high in the blue sky

Something sores through the clouds

Goes past the sun flying as one

She says, “don’t be scared Hun

We will be there so fast and so fun”

Do not look out the window and down

It will surely make you want to frown

Closing my eyes and trying to think of a happy place

Counting down the minutes till we land

The turbulence is getting out of hand

The pilot speaks loudly 30 minutes till landing

I feel the wheels hit the ground

Now we are vacation bound

  1. I really like this poem, it’s such a nice read right before summer. I like how they overcome the fear of flying or anxiety of real life in order to be able to relax on vacation.
